D/F= work does not demonstrate standards and must be resubmitted

Your total grade will be broken down in the following way:

40% Work Grades (sketchbook/in-class assignments/daily work points)

20% Final Exam

Curriculum

Art Elements- Line, shape, form, texture, color, value, space

Media- Pencil, Pen, Colored Pencil, Charcoal, watercolor, gouache, markers, acrylic, mixed media

Units of Study- Line, Composition, value, perspective, color/painting, figure drawing, and portraiture.

Attendance

I am lenient on tardiness and absences because we all have our own lives and family activities going on. Some things are out of our control. What we can do is try to meet another time for the art session. Preferably within the same week, but if we need to push it back to two art sessions within the same week, we can try to make it work out. Just let me know in advance due to my scheduling and times available.

Turn-in Work Assingments/Projects

All assignments and art projects will be turned in to my inbox (alex@tarazi.com). Art learners will take photos of their work and send them in JPEG format. Then I will grade and give feedback on your artwork through a message response or a recorded video response.

Deadlines

Projects/Assignments are usually due by the end of the week, on Fridays. There are also Wednesday assignment turn-ins for minor assignments/projects. Please communicate difficulties/emergencies with me as needs arise.

Materials

Students will need to provide their own art supplies. If there are any issues with purchasing please reach out to me, and I can see what I can do to help work with you. Please check the "Materials List" tab for more information.

Suggested places for purchasing art supplies:

Fresno, CA  93710

United States

Hobby Lobby: Hobby Lobby has plenty of materials and options as well, just maybe a little more pricey.

Amazon: Amazon has lots of materials to choose from at affordable prices.

Other Stores include Walmart, Ross, Michales Art Store, etc.
